Fally has moved across ndombolo, soukous, rumba and R&B for years. His tenor vocals carry most of that range, and albums like Tokooos II and Control proved he can shift gears without losing his base. Besides, he built his name long before any major label deal arrived.
Choosing a softer, reflective record here makes sense. It opens him to listeners who came in expecting melody over muscle. However, longtime fans still get the vocal control they know well.
