Congolese rumba star Fally Ipupa keeps his hot streak rolling with a brand new record called “Binôme.”
“Binôme” lands on the third disc of his expansive “XX : Délirium” project. The song arrived on September 18, 2026, and it runs past seven minutes. Elektra France handles the release under an exclusive Warner Music France licence.
Production-wise, the arrangement is the real story here. Guitars and percussion lock into a calm groove, never rushing toward a quick hook. Instead, the beat gives Ipupa space to stretch his tenor vocals across poetic lyrics about love and companionship.
He knows this terrain well. Born in Kinshasa, Ipupa built his name on rumba, soukous and ndombolo. He also carries a strong following from his Tokooos era. Fans even caught him and his F’Victeam crew dancing to the track before it dropped.
Long rumba records reward patience, and this one trusts the listener to stay with it. That says plenty about where the genre sits right now.
