Shoday keeps building on the HYBRID era with another melodic outing, this time titled “CHE,” featuring Mavin Records singer Magixx. The Afrobeats record arrived on September 25, 2026, and Shallythechampion handled the production. Crisp percussion and soft synth textures carry the beat, while the hook settles in quickly. Both singers get room to stretch, so nothing feels packed too tight.
Shoday has moved fast since breaking through. His 2024 Brkfst EP came before “Casanova” and “Casablanca,” and Casablanca reached No. 28 on the Afrobeats Songs chart in the USA. His debut album, HYBRID, is a 14-track project featuring Kizz Daniel and FOLA. It arrived under Sony Music UK, and it peaked at No. 6 on the NG Apple Top Albums Chart.
“CHE” works because the mood stays warm and unhurried. The back-and-forth between Shoday and Magixx feels like a smooth conversation, not a contest. It suits a slow evening or a long drive, and the melody does most of the talking.
