Tklam Boy keeps building on his Afrosounds run, and “Cloud 9” hands the spotlight to Omotena Jaja. It is a single, not a project cut, and the two Nigerian voices trade space across a melodic arrangement. Omotena Jaja’s feature adds a second texture, so both singers get room to work in their own styles.
The Imo State indigene was born in northern Nigeria and raised around Zaria and Abuja, which shapes how he writes. He is signed to YBM, and “Cloud 9” arrives as a standalone release with no album or video announced yet. So fans waiting on a full body of work still have just this one to sit with.
His catalogue moves quickly though. Recent entries include “Kpakripa Love” and “Amarachi (Agaracha gyration),” while “Die young” landed on the Pain Love & Grace EP. That range, from gyration grooves to slower R&B-leaning cuts, explains why a duet like this fits him.
The pairing makes sense because Omotena Jaja gives the track a counterweight. Tklam Boy tends to carry a song alone, so sharing the mic forces a different kind of restraint. It works, and it hints at where his sound could go next.
