Fireboy DML closes out his new album with “Fighting,” a track that leans hard on the vocal performance. The Nigerian singer stays in that soft, melodic lane he has owned for years. But here the delivery carries more weight than usual.
“Fighting” is the final song on ZUKO!, his thirteen-track body of work. It arrived on October 16, 2026, through YBNL Nation and EMPIRE. Album closers rarely get placed by accident, and this one sits right at the end. The record circles around life’s pressures and the stubborn choice to keep pushing anyway.
That theme tracks with where he is now. He signed with YBNL Nation back in 2018 under Olamide, and he has grown from that breakout kid into an artist at ease with doubt. Recent singles include “Body,” “Dopamine” and “Original Don.” Demand around him has not cooled.
What stands out here is restraint. He never reaches for a big vocal moment, even when the writing invites one. The song works because he holds back instead.
