Fireboy DML keeps building on the momentum of his catalogue with “Goddess,” a new record that pairs him with Lojay. The song sits on his fifth studio album, ZUKO!, landing as track four on a thirteen-song project. Armanny Joe also had a hand in the record, and the ZUKO! sessions clearly gave both singers room to stretch. Fans who have waited on a proper Fireboy and Lojay link-up finally have one.

Fireboy DML, born Adedamola Adefolahan, has been signed to Olamide’s YBNL Nation since 2018. He moves between Afrobeats, R&B and Afro-pop without losing his footing. His run includes APOLLO and Playboy, plus the Peru single that travelled far beyond Lagos.

Lojay brings a voice you can pick out of any crowd. He has built his name on melody first, so this pairing makes sense on paper. The two approaches meet in the middle here.

Listeners wanted a record that let both singers breathe, and “Goddess” gives them that room. What do you think of the song? Drop your thoughts in the comment section below.
