Fireboy DML slides back into view with “Kilowi,” a record tucked inside his album ZUKO! that leans hard on his voice and his alone. The Nigerian Afrobeats singer and songwriter keeps the spotlight on himself here. There is no guest verse and no feature to share the load.
BIG FISH handled the production, while YBNL Nation and EMPIRE pushed the record out. “Kilowi” landed on October 15, 2026 as part of the ZUKO! tracklist. Because the song sits deep in that project, its placement shapes how listeners meet it.
Fireboy has moved across Afrobeats, R&B, and pop since signing with Olamide’s YBNL Nation in 2018. His catalogue now runs four studio albums deep, plus an EP and a long list of singles. Along the way he has shared space with names far outside his own lane.
That range explains why “Kilowi” never feels boxed in. He bends notes, pulls back, then opens up again. The rhythm and lyrics get room to breathe instead of getting crowded out.
Not every record needs a guest to land. Some just need a singer willing to carry the whole thing alone.
