L.A.X keeps his love-song lane alive and opens his new album with a record called “Morenike,” a soft romantic cut. The song sits first on “The Only Lover Boy Left (TOLBL),” a 12-track project that arrived on November 6, 2026. Rasaki Music Ltd put it out in partnership with EMPIRE.

Born Damilola Afolabi, he spends this one singing about a special woman and his wish for real affection and lasting companionship. It is a love record, not a club track, and he delivers it without forcing the emotion. The vocal stays gentle and unhurried, letting the words carry the weight instead.

Placing a soft opener at the top of a 12-track body of work says plenty about how he wants the album received. Besides, the Afrobeats and Afropop blend is familiar ground for him, yet here he leans into warmth rather than tempo. It works because his delivery never oversells the sentiment.
