Kweku Smoke keeps his foot on the gas with “Set It Straight,” a pointed new single that gets down to business quickly.
The record lands as part of his NO DAYS OFF project, with production handled by SC4, hawky, and Whydah. The drums hit hard here, closer to the energy of the title track than the space “Through The Pain” carved out. There’s no easing into this one.
For anyone still catching up, Kweku Smoke is the Kumasi-born rapper who first turned heads when Sarkodie publicly cosigned his work. He blends Twi, Pidgin, and English in ways that have made him one of the more interesting voices in Ghana’s current hip-hop scene. His delivery on this one lands direct, less about proving anything and more about making sure the point is heard correctly the first time around.
Nothing here is wrapped in metaphor. Just a point, made plainly, and left alone without softening it afterward. That clarity is becoming a signature for him.
