DJ MOSCOW has built serious momentum this year, so his new single “Magadi” arrives with plenty of eyes already on it. The South African DJ and producer links with Jinger Stone and Tumisho on the Amapiano record, which came through Africori.
The title carries real weight. “Magadi” means bride price or lobola in Sotho and Tswana culture, so the song leans into traditional romance rather than club bravado. That choice shapes everything about how the vocals land.
It follows a strong stretch for DJ MOSCOW. His SAMA32-nominated “Ungangilimazi” pulled more than 23 million views. He also has recent projects like Amaphutha, MABHALANE and Emaweni behind him.
Tumisho is no stranger to his sound. The two have worked together across several projects, including music from Amanxeba and Amaphutha. Tumisho has contributed vocals and instrumentation throughout that run, so the chemistry here is not new.
Jinger Stone slides in alongside them, and the pairing keeps things warm. Production stays relaxed, built on deep log drums and rich harmonies. Nobody rushes a single moment.
