Durban-born producer Coach Kling steps into his own spotlight with his debut single “Money Dance,” enlisting Nasty C and Khuli Chana. The track arrives as his first official release as a recording artist, and it carries real weight because of who agreed to ride with him.
Coach Kling produced the record himself, according to the credits attached to the release. So the same hands behind the beat also shaped how the two rappers attacked it. Khuli Chana brings that measured, veteran cadence he has carried for years. Nasty C answers with a sharper, quicker pocket, so the contrast between them does most of the talking.
Notably, neither verse feels phoned in. Khuli sounds relaxed but precise, while Nasty slides through his lines with that clipped delivery fans already know. The video, credited to Mel Mthembu, gives the record another layer to sit with.
For a debut, this is a bold way to enter. Two generations of South African hip hop on one song says plenty about where Coach Kling wants to go next.
