BNXN links up with FOLA on a fresh record called “Shamaya,” keeping his momentum rolling.

The song sits on BNXN’s new Still In Charge EP, which arrived on October 1, 2026. It is one of the project’s key collaborations, and the pairing gives FOLA a bigger platform.

The beat builds slowly before the drums settle into a mid-tempo Afrobeats groove. Synths sit low in the mix, so the vocals carry most of the weight. It never rushes, and that patience suits both singers.

BNXN, born Daniel Benson, hails from Akwa Ibom but grew up around Lagos. He left Spaceship Records and now runs independently under To Your Ears Entertainment. His past work includes Bad Since ’97 and the album Sincerely, Benson.

FOLA matches him with a lighter, looser delivery. The two trade lines without crowding each other, and the arrangement leaves enough space for both voices. Nothing feels stacked or overdone.
