BNXN keeps his current run moving with a reflective solo record he calls “16,” built on discipline and focus. It lands as the third song on his six-track EP, “Still In Charge,” which also carries guest spots from Asake and FOLA. He handles this one alone, so the writing and the vocals get room to breathe.

The song arrived on October 1, 2026. Chimamanda Pearl Chukwuma is credited on background vocals. Because there is no feature here, the message lands directly, and that choice says plenty about how he views the record.

Born Daniel Etiese Benson in Lagos, he hails from Akwa Ibom and grew up around Gbagada before settling in Ogun State. He has been releasing steadily since his Buju days, and he has since built an independent run with projects like “CAPTAIN” and “Sincerely, Benson.”

The timing makes sense, though. He has been in a productive stretch, and a quieter, personal cut fits neatly between the bigger collaborations on the EP. It also shows he can carry a track without leaning on a guest.
