J’Dess and The Cavemen link up on a fresh new record called “Chinyere.” The song pairs contemporary soul with traditional Igbo influences, while the highlife duo bring their live-instrument texture to the table.

“Chinyere” arrived as a single on 11 September 2026 through J’dess and ONErpm. The track runs three minutes and forty seconds, and it follows a busy stretch for the singer.

She has already shared “Child of The Sun” and “Honey” this year, besides her seven-track EP “ALA,” which explored motherhood, growth and identity. The Cavemen, meanwhile, have spent years carrying highlife for a younger audience. So this link-up makes sense on paper.

What holds attention here is the writing. The Igbo language carries much of the weight, and the message stays uplifting without turning preachy. It feels like a deliberate step in her catalogue rather than a quick feature.
