Naira Marley teams up with producer Rexxie on a fresh new track called “Jaiye.” The record pairs the singer and the producer once more, and it gives fans of that sound something new to check out. Rexxie handles the boards here, which matters for anyone who follows how Nigerian records get built. His production has played a part in shaping several street-hop and Afrobeats hits over the years.
Naira Marley’s delivery carries the record. He leans into his street-inspired expressions while riding the beat with real energy. That style has earned him a strong following, and it shows in how he attacks each line. The vocal performance stays lively throughout, so the track rarely drags.
Pairing a performer with that personality and a producer with that track record is a sensible move. It also offers another look at the working relationship between the two, one that has contributed to the country’s contemporary music culture.
