OGB Recent and Amebo Cartel link up on “Debit,” a street-leaning record built for listeners who like their music loose and lively. The comedian turned recording artist keeps his music run moving with this one.
The track pairs the two entertainers on a release aimed squarely at fans of Nigerian street sounds and the wider entertainment scene. There is no word yet on a project or production credits behind it, so for now the record rests on the strength of the two names on it.
For anyone who only knows him from skits, OGB Recent built his following through comedy videos and social media content that turns everyday situations into something people can laugh about. That audience has since followed him into music, and “Debit” is the latest stop on that side of his work.
It makes sense as a move, because comedians already have the ears of the street. A record like this lets him test that attention without straying too far from what made him popular. Whether it lands depends on how the song sits with listeners once they press play.
