The six-song EP landed on June 30, 2024, under Black Sheep Pen. “Waka Waka” sits as the fifth track, running 2 minutes and 46 seconds. Production comes courtesy of EMK, who shapes a lively backdrop that shifts between melodic Afrobeats phrasing and energetic street-pop delivery.
Tuff King, born King David Israel, hails from Abakpa Nike in Enugu State, a neighborhood known as the “042” region. He works as a rapper, songwriter, and executive producer, carrying the Black Sheepizen project as a personal statement about struggle, rejection, addiction, betrayal, and growth.
The record itself centers on believing your own timing. Tuff King reflects on moving from the regular side to VIP level, insisting he never envied others because his moment would come. Faith runs through the track too, with repeated references to God as part of his story. That combination gives “Waka Waka” a grounded confidence rather than empty bravado.
