Sims Noreng and Focalistic link up on a fresh Amapiano record called “Retloba Wete.” The two South African acts have worked together before, so the pairing carries some history.
The track arrives through Africori, and it lands as part of Sims Noreng’s debut EP. Snippets had been circling online before the full audio dropped, which built real anticipation among Amapiano listeners. The production leans on heavy bass and open space, letting the groove breathe instead of crowding it.
Sims Noreng has been building steadily. His catalogue includes “Hadikene,” “TJEYA,” “OH MMA,” and the album “The Prince.” He also linked with The Lowkeys on “TJEYA,” a record that found a big audience on TikTok. Focalistic needs little introduction, though. His Pitori slang and chant-style delivery have made him one of the genre’s most recognizable voices.
Their earlier collaborations include “13 POS (Ke Bo Mang)” and “Beyoncé Baby,” so this is less a first meeting than a continuation. That chemistry matters here, because the record depends on how the two trade energy over the beat.
