Abidoza keeps building out the Club Controller era with “Chomi,” a club-facing Amapiano and Sgidongo record landing soon. The single arrives as the second promotional cut from the EP, following the project’s earlier lead material. Djy Vino, KMAT, and Trixx all feature, while Abidoza handles the boards himself.

Amapiano and Sgidongo share roots in the same Gauteng dancefloor language, so the pairing makes sense. The log-drum swing sits under Sgidongo’s skippier pulse, and the three features trade space without crowding each other. It is a DJ record first, built for the mix rather than the headphones.

Abidoza has been here before, of course. He produced CKay’s “Watawi” with Davido and Focalistic, and worked with Major League Djz on “Ungalahleki” and “Dinaledi.” His debut solo album The Last Dance dropped in 2020, the same year he and the Major League twins pushed out Pianochella and What’s the Levol.

What works here is restraint. Nobody is chasing a crossover moment, and the record trusts the groove instead. For a scene that keeps absorbing new tempos, that confidence matters.
