Champz keeps his run going with a fresh hip-hop record titled “Groove,” which arrived officially at midnight. The song follows his Young Poet EP, so it lands while that project still has ears on it.
Groove leans into Afroswing and UK-influenced rap. Champz pairs rhythmic flows with a modern Afro-fusion edge, and the blend shapes the record’s whole direction. He teased it with snippets before the drop, which built real anticipation across social media.
The Lagos rapper is the stage name of Boluwatife Balogun, and he also happens to be Wizkid’s first son. His Champion’s Arrival EP, released on November 11, 2025, topped the NG Apple Top Albums Chart within five hours. Young Poet followed on March 20, 2026, and Wizkid has publicly co-signed the journey.
What works here is the timing, because Groove extends a lane Champz already claimed rather than switching things up for no reason. The UK influence feels natural in his hands, too. It reads like an artist stacking records while people are still paying attention.
