Congolese rumba star Fally Ipupa keeps his momentum rolling with “Prosternez-vous,” a new romantic record from his XX album. The track arrived alongside the wider body of work, and it lands while the singer is still deep in his XX era.
“Prosternez-vous” was written by Fally Ipupa himself, per Genius credits. It also sits under an exclusive licence to Warner Music France, with Elektra France handling the release. The record runs on melodic vocals, and he moves between French and Lingala as the story unfolds. Affection, attraction and admiration carry the narrative, while the title’s bold energy shapes the delivery.
Fally Ipupa Nsimba was born in Kinshasa and built his name as a dancer before stepping forward as a vocalist. Fans know him as the Prince of Rumba, and his tenor voice has travelled far beyond Congolese borders. He has recorded with Wizkid, Oxlade and Joé Dwèt Filé in recent years, which says plenty about his reach.
