Fally Ipupa carries that same commanding presence into “Victoire,” a track pulled from his new album XX : Délirium. The Congolese star leans hard on his tenor here, and the vocal never rushes a single line.

The song runs close to seven minutes, which says plenty about its intent. Nothing gets clipped for radio, so the instrumentation and the writing both get room to move. It belongs to XX : Délirium, the album Elektra France put out under Warner Music France.

Fally has spent years waving the Congolese flag far past Kinshasa. His run includes Tokooos II, an album that pushed toward gold territory, and a Universal Music France deal that widened his reach. Demand for his voice has never really cooled.

Long records usually lose people halfway, yet this one keeps its shape. The patience it asks for is the same patience it pays back. That alone makes it worth sitting with.
