Fola and BNXN link up on a fresh new record called “My Type,” a smooth Afrobeats cut built around melody. The track lands on Fola’s sophomore album “9,” a 14-song project that also brings in Darkoo and Bella Shmurda.
Both singers handle a hook without forcing the tempo, so the pairing plays to that strength instead of chasing a new sound. BNXN’s melodic style has travelled well, and it puts Fola in front of ears that might be hearing him for the first time.
Fola has been building his name steadily. He broke through with “alone” and later signed to Bella Shmurda’s Dangbana Republik, while his debut run pushed him onto the Apple Music NG Top Songs chart. That momentum explains why the features keep getting bigger.
“My Type” works because the delivery stays relaxed, never rushed. It sits in a lane both artists already own.
