Magixx and Shoday link up on a new single titled “Ferawa,” putting both artists back in the same studio booth again.
The record arrives as a follow-up to their earlier link-up, “CHE,” which dropped in September 2026. That first pairing showed how their styles sit together on a track. This time, the brief is romance, and both singers lean into it.
Shoday carries a good chunk of the record with his lively delivery and conversational style. He doesn’t force the emotion. Instead, he talks his way through it, letting the playful lines about romantic affection land like gist between friends. That loose, easy approach is what he is known for in Afropop. It also gives “Ferawa” a light, catchy feel rather than a heavy one.
The pairing makes sense on paper and on wax. “CHE” introduced listeners to their complementary styles, and “Ferawa” builds on that connection instead of starting from scratch. Magixx holds his end as the Afrobeats act, while Shoday brings the bounce.
Two artists finding each other twice in a row is never a small thing. It will be interesting to see whether this becomes a regular partnership or just a good run.
