Mr Real and Sugarbana link up on a fresh record called “Check Clear,” a street-pop cut for Lagos. The track sits third on Mr Real’s Real Movement EP, a project that packs six songs in total.
Both artists have shared a musical history before now. Sugarbana brings a lighter vocal texture, while Mr Real holds the rougher street-pop side. That contrast gives the song its movement.
Okafor Uchenna Victor, known as Mr Real, grew up in Lagos and records under SME Africa. He broke through years back with “Legbegbe,” the single that pushed him into the Shaku Shaku conversation.
Here, he keeps things simple and direct. No overthinking, no forced structure. The record targets playlists and social settings where nobody sits down to analyse bars.
Because both acts know each other’s strengths, nothing on the track feels rushed. Mr Real carries the weight, yet Sugarbana’s lighter touch keeps the energy from dragging. It is a pairing that works without either side trying too hard.
