For those unfamiliar, Nasty C is a South African rapper from Durban who has built a reputation as one of the continent’s most consistent hip-hop voices. He has released five studio albums and runs his own label, Tall Racks Records. His catalog stretches from the 2016 debut Bad Hair through to the recent Free album.
What stands out sonically is how the production leans closer to the harder edge of his work. The verses stack tight with real intent, and nothing soft sneaks in at all. It plays like a record built for focus, for locking in completely.
