Nasty C links with longtime collaborator Tellaman on the bouncy new record titled “Throw That.” The track lands as track thirteen on the T’s & C’s Apply project, continuing a chemistry that spans eleven collaborations between the pair.
This one strips away any heavy introspection. The log drum rolls hard underneath, and the beat clearly prioritizes physical reaction over deep listening. Nasty C rides the energy loose and unbothered, while Tellaman matches that relaxed delivery perfectly. After eleven tracks together, the comfort level between them shows in every bar.
The Durban-born rapper, known as the Coolest Kid In Africa, has built his name through Def Jam and Universal Music Africa. He also runs his own Tall Racks Records imprint. His catalog now includes five studio albums plus this new EP.
What makes “Throw That” work is how little it tries to prove anything at all.
