Nigerian rapper and producer Rord Kelly steps back into the booth with a new single called “ChatGPT.” The record lands as a standalone single, and it carries crisp production from hitztv behind the boards. Rord Kelly also handles his own writing on the track.
That producer credit matters here because the beat does plenty of the talking. Sharp verses ride over a polished arrangement, so the energy never dips. It is a hip-hop record built for repeat listens.
For anyone just catching on, Rord Kelly hails from Anambra State and reps the Eastern Nigerian hip-hop scene. He is a rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer, so he moves between roles with ease. His catalogue includes the Paper Chasers EP, which carried tracks like “Verified Ogbe” and “Western Union.” He has also appeared alongside Zerrydl on “Alhamdulillah.”
Singles like this keep the East’s street rap tradition in conversation with newer sounds. What do you think of “ChatGPT”? Drop your thoughts in the comment section below.
