Sims Noreng keeps building out the NorengVille world, and “Chomi Yami” is the latest piece of that growing project. Fans who followed the roll-out already knew Mabena102 would pop up again somewhere on the project.
The track brings Mavee DripGod and Mabena102 into the fold, and it lands as the fourth song on NorengVille. The EP arrived on September 11, 2026, with seven tracks in total. Mabena102 also featured earlier on “Hololo,” so his return here feels deliberate rather than random.
For anyone just catching up, Sims Noreng has been active since the early 2020s. His catalog includes projects like AmaChampion and The Prince, plus singles such as “Hadikene” and “TJEYA” with The Lowkeys. He has also worked with 13 Nor Mabena and Mavee DripGod before, so these aren’t new studio partners.
Production stays rooted in the rhythmic Amapiano framework that runs through the whole EP. The two guests trade space well, and the vocal arrangement gives the record some texture. Still, the beat never gets buried underneath them.
