SpeakNice and InQfive link up on a fresh new record called “Reality Check,” a deep house cut built for late nights. The South African producer pairs with the Johannesburg-based DJ here.
The two acts pooled their creative direction into one record, and the shared vision shows in how structured the final cut sounds. Nothing about the arrangement feels rushed. Instead, the groove builds gradually, giving each instrumental element room to breathe.
SpeakNice has been steadily working within the contemporary South African scene. He keeps putting out productions and teaming up with other acts to explore different sounds. InQfive, meanwhile, is known for his own contributions to deep house, so pairing them makes sense on paper.
With its steady rhythm and immersive mood, the song fits relaxed listening, late-night sessions and road trips. It never strains for any of them. Whether it holds up on repeat depends on what you want from a deep house record right now.
