Sunmisola Agbebi, the Nigerian gospel singer, has a new record out called “Yahweh.” It carries no feature and no distraction, just her voice leading with the name of God.
The song arrives as part of a Yahweh EP, a one-track project that puts the focus squarely on the worship moment itself. She has always said her songs come out of prayer and time with God. You can hear that honesty in how she carries the melody.
She is not new to this. Sunmisola started singing at four and dropped her debut single “Amazing” in 2020. Then came “Koseunti” in 2022. Her collaboration with Lawrence Oyor on “My Daddy My Daddy” pushed her voice to more ears. Besides that, Spotify named her its EQUAL Africa Artist for February 2025. Her debut album “Glory” landed that same month.
So “Yahweh” comes from someone already trusted in worship circles across Nigeria. The writing here is simple on purpose. She lets the name do the work, and the build stays slow and reverent instead of loud.
