Tay Iwar returns with a soulful new single titled “How Can I Forget.” The track arrives as his latest release, following a steady run of projects including the “Reflection Station” EP.
The record came together under his CoolSweat / Benin City Ent. imprint, with exclusive licensing to Sparta. It dropped as a standalone single, clocking in at just over two minutes of mellow, laid-back groove. The production stays clean and balanced throughout, letting his natural vocal delivery breathe over the warm instrumental.
Born Austin Iornongu Iwar Jnr in Victoria Island, Lagos, he spent his early years there before relocating to Abuja. He wears many hats, working as a composer, sound engineer, and record producer. His previous work includes the “Summer Breeze” album and the “GOLD II” EP, which have helped cement his place in the alternative soul scene.
The song’s emotional weight sits softly beneath its smooth surface, leaving room for quiet reflection. It fits neatly beside his catalog of introspective, genre-blending work.
