Yemi Alade and Singuila link up on a fresh new record called “Paradise,” a warm fusion of Afropop and R&B.
The song is the twelfth track off Yemi Alade’s album “It’s Yemi Alade,” put out through Effyzzie Music Group. It also arrives alongside a full tracklist that includes “Away” with Teni and “Overtake” with Jeriq.
Yemi Alade has moved across Afropop, R&B, and dancehall since signing with Effyzzie Music Group in 2012. Her run includes “Black Magic,” “Woman Of Steel,” “Empress,” and “Rebel Queen,” so she rarely stays in one lane.
On “Paradise,” her vocals carry the record with real confidence. She blends African rhythms with contemporary pop touches, yet never lets the song lose its warmth. Singuila’s smoother delivery adds a softer texture, and the contrast between the two voices is exactly what makes the pairing work.
It is a meeting of two musical worlds, Nigerian and Francophone African. That gives the song a wider reach than your average Afropop feature, so fans of both sounds should find something here.
