Static Que keeps his current run moving with “Ispero,” a heavy Gqom and electronic cut featuring Licious and Mashonisa RSA. The track arrives as another entry in a busy stretch for the producer.
It lands after his Vutha 2.0 EP and the Gqom after Gqom project. “Ispero” also follows “Gqom Industry,” his earlier link-up with Licious. Mashonisa RSA joins the pair this time around.
Africori put the record out. The label places independent African music worldwide, and Static Que sits among its growing dance roster.
He works with distorted Gqom drums and deep basslines here. Sharp electronic transitions keep the pressure high. The arrangement never really lets up.
Licious rides the rhythm with control. Mashonisa RSA adds a different texture to the mix. Both fit the mood Static Que builds.
