He has been open about producing his own material before. Besides rapping, Rord Kelly writes and builds beats, so the arrangement here stays simple and lets his delivery carry the song. The title leans Spanish, but the sound stays rooted in Nigerian hip-hop and indigenous rap.
His catalogue stretches back a while now. “The Paper Chasers Album” dropped in 2023, and he has since worked through projects like “Double Up” and “Untitled.” He also unveiled a tracklist for an EP called “Native Drill,” which shows how far he is willing to push his sound.
Dropping “Ser Feliz” before “Badman Lifestyle” makes sense. It gives listeners a feel for the project without emptying it out early. Also, the self-produced angle adds weight to a rapper who clearly wants control over his own sound.
