Ava Peace keeps Uganda’s airwaves busy with a brand new single she calls “Mukomboti.” The record arrives as a single, and it gives her growing catalogue another entry to build on. It also lands while she keeps promising fans more music.
She stays signed to Team No Sleep, a camp she has publicly described as hers alone. Before that, she spent time at Black Market Records. Things there did not work out because nothing was coming out.
Her range runs wide. She has worked with Elijah Kitaka on “Terms & Conditions,” with Nessim also involved. There is also “Njagala Love” and “Kankolemu ka Correction” in her bag. Pawaboy AB joined her on an acoustic take of “Ntaawa” too.
What makes “Mukomboti” interesting is the mood. She lets personality carry the melody instead of burying it under heavy production tricks. The title itself keeps a strong Ugandan identity at the centre. Nothing here chases a foreign sound.
She has also claimed she sits at the top of Uganda’s industry right now. That confidence spills into the song, because she sounds settled rather than desperate to impress.
