KRL Soundz keeps his current run moving with “Today,” a soft Afrobeats love record built around Mavo and Kadi. The Nigerian producer and artist uses the song to chase attraction rather than heartbreak. It arrives as part of a small two-track project, not a standalone single.
That project is titled “HBD” and came out on November 1, 2026 through Kilogbede Records Limited. It was put together to mark Mavo’s 23rd birthday, which explains the title. The second song, “Happy Birthday,” also features Mavo, so “Today” lands as half of a focused drop.
The record gives three voices their own space. KRL Soundz, Mavo and Kadi each carry a part, and the romantic angle holds the collaboration together. Nothing here is overcomplicated, because the sound stays pointed at listeners who like their Afrobeats soft and relationship-centred.
For KRL Soundz, the song keeps new material moving in the same season. Have you played “Today” yet? Tell us your verdict in the comments.
