Logos Olori keeps his new musical chapter moving with “Pause,” a track worth attention for how little it tries to do. The Nigerian Afropop singer and songwriter sits on his freshly released QUALIA EP, a full body of work rather than a one-off single. “Pause” is one of the points where that space is used well.
There is no guest verse here. No crowded arrangement either, just the artist, his melody and a beat built to let him breathe. The drums and percussion do their job without shouting. That leaves a clean pocket for the vocals to ride.
Logos Olori stays melodic throughout, letting his writing carry the weight instead of burying it under layers of sound. The restraint fits the emotional and sensory thread running through the EP. Feeling matters more than volume here.
For anyone new to him, Logos Olori is a Nigerian musician and songwriter born and raised in the Ajegunle area of Lagos. He is signed to Davido Music Worldwide, the label home to Morravey. He also wrote “Unavailable” for Davido, and his debut EP, “Olori,” arrived in February 2024.
